Please read these Terms of Service ("Terms") carefully before using the FieldLedger mobile application and web portal (the "Service") operated by 42DIGITAL ("us", "we", or "our").
Your access to and use of the Service is conditioned on your acceptance of and compliance with these Terms. By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms.
IMPORTANT DISCLAIMER: 42DIGITAL is not a CPA, tax advisor, or accounting firm. FieldLedger is an organizational and record-keeping utility. You are solely responsible for verifying the accuracy of all parsed data before reconciling it with your General Ledger or submitting it for tax purposes.
1. AI Fallibility and User Responsibility
FieldLedger utilizes advanced generative AI and Optical Character Recognition (OCR) to extract data from the receipts you scan. You acknowledge and agree that:
- AI Models Make Mistakes: The AI may misread numbers, miscategorize items, or hallucinate data due to blurry images, crumpled paper, or complex hardware store invoice layouts.
- Mandatory User Verification: You (and your Finance Managers) are strictly responsible for reviewing, editing, and verifying the accuracy of all extracted data (including vendors, dates, and total amounts) before exporting or syncing this data.
- 42DIGITAL bears no liability for accounting errors, tax penalties, audit failures, or financial losses resulting from inaccurate data extracted by the App.
2. Subscriptions and Billing
While the mobile app offers a free tier for individual field workers with limited monthly scans, advanced features and Corporate Workspaces require a paid subscription.
- Web-Based Billing: All subscriptions for Solo Pro and Corporate Workspaces are managed securely via our web portal (app.usefieldledger.com) using Stripe.
- Seat-Based Pricing: Corporate plans may incur additional monthly charges for every active field worker invited to the workspace via a Magic Token.
- Cancellations: You may cancel your subscription at any time through the web portal's billing dashboard. Cancellations take effect at the end of the current billing cycle.
3. Intellectual Property
The Service and its original content, features, and functionality are and will remain the exclusive property of 42DIGITAL. The Service is protected by copyright, trademark, and other laws.
4. Limitation of Liability
In no event shall 42DIGITAL, nor its directors, employees, partners, agents, suppliers, or affiliates, be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, including without limitation, loss of profits, data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses, resulting from (i) your access to or use of or inability to access or use the Service; (ii) any conduct or content of any third party on the Service; (iii) any content obtained from the Service; and (iv) unauthorized access, use or alteration of your transmissions or content.
